In the NW corner of Calgary is the community of Citadel. It is located off Stoney Trail, in between Country Hills Boulevard and Sarcee Trail. Nearby communities are Royal Oak (to the west), Arbour Lake and Hawkwood (to the south), Hamptons (to the east) and Sherwood (to the north).
The neighbourhood was established in 1993 and Citadel real estate now has a mixture of detached houses, townhomes and condos.
