Kincora is in the NW quadrant of Calgary, north of Stoney Trail and between Shaganappi Drive and Symons Valley Road. It is part of the Symons Valley area, which is made up Sherwood, Nolan Hill, Sage Hill and Evanston. Other communities nearby are Hamptons and Hidden Valley, which are both across Stoney Trail.

As a newer community, Kincora real estate features modern houses. The community has all single-family homes, with many affordable options for smaller budgets.

The neighbourhood can be easily accessed via Stoney Trail, which travels to the south on both the western and eastern sides of the city. Travel times are fast to the Calgary International Airport, and commuting to downtown is a breeze with multiple route that lead to the city’s core. Calgary Transit also serves the community with a variety of bus routes, many leading to downtown or to the city’s LRT system.

Kincora has many shopping options. The Creekside Shopping Centre lines Symons Valley Road and has a few major retailers and a grocery store. Nearby is the Beacon Hill Shopping Centre, a large complex with many big stores and a Costco.

A network of pathways runs through the community, and many homes in Kincora back onto the public greenspace. There are also athletic fields and baseball diamonds for residents. The Kincora Community Association organizes regular events and programs, including BBQs and community garage sales.
