Once part of a military base, Lincoln Park is now a thriving community with a mixture of residential, commercial and university buildings. It is found in between 37 Street West and Crowchild Trail, just north of Glenmore Trail. Like the neighbourhood itself, Lincoln Park real estate features a wide variety of styles, from condos to single-family homes. Properties along the southern border of the community were once military housing and are now unique single-family homes and townhomes.
Nearby communities include the Currie Barracks, Rutland Park, Glamorgan and Altadore (across Crowchild Trail). Sharing backgrounds as former military bases, Lincoln Park has similar styles as the Currie Barracks.
Right in the community is Mount Royal University, which was established in 1910 and offers undergraduate and continuing education courses. The large campus has classrooms, recreation facilities and a concert hall. Lincoln Park is a popular choice for students and for rental properties.
There are a variety of stores, restaurants and commercial properties in Lincoln Park. With its easy access via Crowchild Trail and Glenmore Trail, many businesses choose to work out of Lincoln Park for its quick transportation options. Calgary Transit serves the community with a variety of bus routes, many of which go to Mount Royal University.
There are a mixture of parks and athletic fields throughout Lincoln Park. The community is also nearby the Grey Eagle Casino, Lakeview Golf Course and the Richmond Green Golf Course.
