Just after the Bow River leaves downtown, it passes by the trendy neighbourhood of Inglewood. This SE Calgary community is accessed via 9 Avenue SE from the west, 17 Avenue SE from the east and Blackfoot Trail or 12 Street SE from the south. It is nestled in between the Elbow River, Bow River and CPR railway yard. Other communities nearby are Ramsay and the East Village.
Inglewood was established in 1875 and named “Inglewood” in 1911. It is now a lively community with extensive shopping, dining and entertainment options.
