The community of Richmond, also known as Richmond Park-Knobhill, borders Killarney-Glengarry, Bankview and South Calgary. It is divided by Crowchild Trail and only a few streets of this community are located on the east side of Crowchild Trail. This is often confusing and many people think it is Killarney-Glengarry. 25A Street SW is the divider between the two communities.

There is easy access to and from Richmond. With access to Crowchild Trail via both 17 Avenue and 33 Avenue South, commuters can travel throughout Calgary with ease. Downtown is only a 10-minute drive away. 17 Avenue – with its shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife – is an easy walk away. For transit users, many buses pass through Richmond regularly, and the Shaganappi Point LRT station is nearby.
