Overlooking downtown Calgary is the NW community of Rosedale. The neighbourhood is just south of 16 Avenue North, in between 4 Street West and 10 Street West. Although not a big community, Rosedale makes up for its size with its close distance to downtown, transit, SAIT and parks. Rosedale is a NW Calgary neighbourhood within walking distance of downtown. It is located up from the Bow River, on a bluff that overlooks the river valley and downtown. Many homes in Rosedale have spectacular views of the south, especially the properties along Crescent Road. Down the hill is the community of Sunnyside, to the west is Briar Hill, to the east is Crescent Heights and across 16 Avenue North is Mount Pleasant.
Most of Rosedale real estate are detached homes. There are also a few condos, particularly along 4 Street West. The homes along Crescent Road are prestigious for their views of downtown. The community is home to a school and an active community association.
There are many amenities within walking distance from Rosedale. SAIT is just across 16 Avenue North, and just beyond the campus is the Northland Mall. The Jublilee Auditorium is nearby, as is the dining and shopping district of Kensington (along Kensington Road and 10 Street West). There are a few notable parks close by, including Riley Park and Prince’s Island Park.
Rosedale can be conveniently accessed off 10 Street West, 16 Avenue North and 4 Street West. There are two Calgary Transit LRT stations nearby (SAIT/ACAD/Jubilee station and Sunnyside station), which offer rides directly to the University of Calgary, downtown and beyond.
