Dover is a large SE Calgary community that is located across the Bow River from Inglewood. With many shops, schools and parks, Dover has all the important amenities nearby. The community can be access via Deerfoot Trail or public transit, and it is also connected to the Bow River pathway network. Dover is located in between Deerfoot Trail and the CPR railway line, south of 26 Avenue SE. The neighbourhood can be easily accessed via Peigan Trail or from the north via 17 Avenue SE. Nearby communities are Erin Woods to the east and Southview and Forest Lawn to the north. Dover is split into two regions – the northern section is commonly called Dover while the southern part is Dover Glen.
The SE neighbourhood has a scattered arrangement of houses, including strips of stores and restaurants along the main roads. Dover real estate is very diverse, with a range of detached houses from the 1970s, attached houses, townhouses and condos. Some areas also include newer houses with modern styles and layouts.
