Established in 1990, Hamptons is a residential neighbourhood with many beautiful homes backing onto greenspaces and a golf course. It is located south of Stoney Trail, in between Sarcee Trail and Shaganappi Trail. Country Hills Boulevard borders the community on the south edge. The community is accessed just from the south via Country Hills Boulevard.

Hamptons real estate includes detached and attached homes, all in a variety of sizes. Communities nearby Hamptons includes Sherwood to the north, Hidden Valley to the east, Edgemont to the south and Citadel to the west.

The Hamptons Golf Club is a private golf course that has holes that run throughout the community. Many homes back onto the course and have views of green grass and clear ponds.

The community has parks and athletic fields. In addition, there is a school for Grades K to 4. The Hamptons Community Association maintains a skating rink and have regular events, including an annual Stampede breakfast. In the southeast corner of the community is a shopping centre with a grocery store, and beside the community on the north side and south side are large shopping centres with a variety of large retailers.

Not only is Hamptons nearby many major roadways, but the community is also served by a few bus routes by Calgary Transit. And for those looking to walk, run or bike, Hamptons has many pathways that run through the community and connect south to Nose Hill Park.
