Tuscany is a NW Calgary community and is one of Calgary’s largest residential neighbourhoods. It was established in 1994 and named after Tuscany, Italy. South of Crowchild Trail and west of Stoney Trail is the NW community of Tuscany. This large neighbourhood has a unique circular layout, with streets encircling the main intersection (Tuscany Boulevard and Tuscany Way). Since Tuscany is a large residential community, there is a wide diversity of homes for sale in the community. Tuscany real estate ranges from detached family homes to townhomes.
The communities nearby Tuscany are Rocky Ridge, Royal Oak, Scenic Acres and Valley Ridge.
The community is accessed through a main entry road off Stoney Trail – Tuscany Boulevard. There is another entrance to the south via Nose Hill Drive. At the northeast corner of the community is a Calgary Transit parking lot and a pedestrian bridge that connects to the Tuscany LRT station. From there, trains go through downtown and to the south, and riders can transfer to trains that head west or up to the northeast quadrant of the city. Buses run through Tuscany and directly connect to the LRT station.
All important amenities can be found in Tuscany. There are a few schools (including Tuscany Elementary School, Twelve Mile Coulee School and St. Basil School) shops, restaurants, a grocery store and many parks and athletic fields. The Tuscany Community Association is a vibrant organization that has a rentable hall, tennis courts, skating rink and hosts an annual Harvest Festival.
Nearby Tuscany are many more shops and restaurants, including the Crowfoot Crossing shopping centre, which also has a movie theatre.
