University Heights is a residential community in Calgary that is surrounded by the University of Calgary. It is located north of 16 Avenue North and west of University Drive. University Heights real estate is a mixture of both homes and condos, including a variety of small-rise condo complexes. The community of Montgomery is located to the west and has more single-family houses. Featuring similar mixture of homes and condos is the community of St. Andrews Heights, which is located south of University Heights. Across Crowchild Trail is Banff Trail, a community that has more detached houses.

The University LRT station is located along Crowchild Trail, nearby the community. Calgary Transit also operates buses that connect with the LRT station, downtown and beyond.

McMahon Stadium is home to the Calgary Stampeders CFL team.

There are many major spots located nearby University Heights. Calgary’s biggest post-secondary institution, the University of Calgary, is located on the northern and western edges of University Heights. Across University Drive to the east is the Foothills Athletic Park and McMahon Stadium, home of the Calgary Stampeders. South of the community is Foothills Hospital, and the Alberta Children’s Hospital is just northwest of the neighbourhood.

Within the community is a large shopping centre with shops, restaurants and services. There are also a few schools, including University School and Westmount Charter School.
