Varsity is a large community stretching from Crowchild Trail to the river, immediately beside the University of Calgary. There are three main districts in Varsity – Varsity Acres, Varsity Village and Varsity Estates.
Varsity Acres was developed in the 1960s and is the oldest part of the community. There are a variety of homes in the area, including two-storey houses and many 2, 3 and 4-level splits. There are also bungalows and condos, including Varsity Towers.
Surrounding Market Mall is Varsity Village. Real estate in this area includes everything from mansions to bungalows. There are also townhouses and condos, built between the late 1960s to the 1980s. Varsity Village includes a research and commercial area in the eastern side, nearby the University of Calgary.
Varsity Estates mostly has single-family homes. There are a variety of house styles, ranging from two-storey homes, splits and bi-levels. Many homes have been renovated, a good sign for a real estate market. There are a few townhome complexes and condos, including the Groves of Varsity, which offer great access to the LRT and shops along Crowchild Trail.
