Sandstone Valley is a residential community in the NW quadrant, bounded by four major roads – Country Hill Boulevard to the north, Beddington Trail to the east, Berkshire Boulevard on the southern edge and 14 Street West on the western side. These roadways offer fast access in all directions, including to the Calgary International Airport and to downtown.

Nearly all homes in Sandstone Valley are detached houses, but there are also a few attached homes in the community. Sandstone Valley real estate is great for families, with its diversity of housing style and close distance to schools. Communities surrounding Sandstone Valley offer similar variety of real estate. The neighbourhoods are MacEwan Glen on the western side, Hidden Valley to the north, Country Hills to the east and Beddington Heights on the southern side.

There are two schools in Sandstone Valley – Simons Valley School and Monsignor Neville Anderson School – both located on the western side of the neighbourhood. Sandstone Valley also has a few small shopping centres with all the important amenities. Many Calgary Transit bus routes end and begin in Sandstone Valley, stopping at the Sandstone Terminal on the southern edge of the community. There is also a parking lot near the terminal for residents to park at when catching a bus. Sandstone Valley has an active community association along with MacEwan Glen.

Nose Hill Park is located nearby the community and has endless pathways to explore. It is a great spot for scenic views of the entire city.
