McKenzie Towne is a SE community, located across Deerfoot Trail from the neighbourhood of McKenzie Lake (which is home to a lake by the same name). McKenzie Towne is just north of Stoney Trail, in between Deerfoot Trail and 52 Street East. The other communities nearby are Auburn Bay, Copperfield and New Brighton.

Established in 1995, McKenzie Towne was designed to be a complete community with shopping, services and schools all located within the community.
