Bridlewood real estate is all detached homes. The community features newer houses, as the community was established in 1998.

A world-class horse jumping facility is located across Highway 22X from the community. Spruce Meadows has events all through the summer and attracts professional jumpers from all around the world.

Within Bridlewood are a variety of schools, including Bridlewood School, Glenmore Christian Academy and Monsignor J. J. O’Brien School. There are many parks scattered throughout Bridlewood, including a large pond on the eastern side of the neighbourhood. Bridlewood is home to a shopping centre with a grocery store, banks, shops and restaurants. Nearby is the large Shawnessy Shopping Centre, which has many major retailers, dining spots and a big movie theatre.

With connections directly to Highway 22X (Stoney Trail), getting into and out of Bridlewood is simple. There is quick access to Macleod Trail, which leads directly into the city’s core, via James Mckevitt Road. Also, there is a Calgary Transit LRT station nearby (Bridlewood/Somerset LRT station) and a variety of buses run through the community and directly connect to the LRT station. Trains depart the station and travel to downtown and beyond to the NW.
