In between the Bow River and the community of Willow Park is the small SE Calgary neighbourhood of Maple Ridge. It is located south of Southland Drive and east of Acadia Drive, nearby Deerfoot Trail. Within Maple Ridge is a public golf course, parks and many schools. To the west of Deerfoot Trail in between Southland Drive and Anderson Road is the SE Calgary community of Maple Ridge. It is accessed from Acadia Drive and Southland Drive, and it is bordered on the eastern and southern edge by the Maple Ridge Golf Course.
Maple Ridge real estate includes many types of single-family homes. It was developed in the late 1960s and 1970s, and now it is a popular neighbourhood for families with its large houses and many schools. Other communities nearby feature similar real estate. These communities are Acadia to the north, Willow Park to the west and Bonavista Downs to the south.
The SE neighbourhood has a few schools including Maple Ridge School and R.T. Alderman’s School. The community association hosts sports’ groups, clubs, events and activities for all age groups. There is also a hall and skating rink available to rent. Maple Ridge is nearby the community of Willow Park, which is home to many schools, parks and the Southcentre Mall.
Access into and out of Maple Ridge is easy with vehicles, and there is regular Calgary Transit bus service. The buses connect to LRT stations along Macleod Trail, which travel directly to downtown and beyond.
