Queensland

Queensland is a SE Calgary community built in the 1970s near the intersection of Anderson Drive, Deerfoot Trail and Bow Bottom Trail. The established community has numerous options for shopping, dining, schools and parks. Queensland real estate is primarily single-family homes, including some new developments. With a wide variety of real estate, Queensland is a excellent community for a range of budgets and preferences. The SE community is located north of Canyon Meadows Drive and east of Bow Bottom Trail, just off Deerfoot Trail and Anderson Road. It is accessed from Canyon Meadows Drive.

The Queensland real estate market is diverse. There are single-family homes in many styles, and there are also townhomes and attached houses. The community is the oldest in the area, with Diamond Cove, Deer Ridge, Deer Run and Parkland all built after Queensland.

Queensland is home to Haultain Memorial School, Wilma Hansen School, an indoor skating rink, tennis courts, community association and a small shopping plaza. Close nearby is a large shopping centre, restaurants, more schools and endless recreation options. The Bow River pathway network connects nearby, and Fish Creek Park has many miles of pathways.

The many nearby parks make Queensland feel like a secluded community, but it is near many driving and transit options. Deerfoot Trail is the main north-south route through Calgary, and Anderson Road connects directly to Macleod Trail. Calgary Transit buses run through the community that go to the Canyon Meadows LRT station, which travels to downtown, SAIT and the University of Calgary.
