Woodbine is located on the far west site of Calgary. It is situated between Anderson Road and Fish Creek Park, to the west of 24 Street West. On the west side of Woodbine is 37 Street West, which connects to Highway 22X. Beyond 37 Street is the Tsuu T’ina first nation reserve.
Communities that border Woodbine share similar style homes. Cedarbrae is to the north, Braeside is to the northeast and Woodlands is to the east. Across Fish Creek Park are Evergreen and Shawnee Slopes.
Fish Creek Park is Canada’s largest urban park. In fact, Fish Creek Park is over three times the size as Stanley Park in Vancouver. There are many pathways (both paved, unpaved and nature trails), picnic sites, visitor centre, restaurant and swimming. The park is named after the creek that flows from the west into the Bow River. Woodbine residents can access the park from a variety of pathways and with a vehicle from Woodpath Road.
Woodbine has a few schools within the neighbourhood – St. Jude Elementary School and Woodbine School. There is an athletic park that has a few fields and baseball diamonds. Along with Woodlands, Woodbine has an active community association.
With Anderson Road directly connecting to Macleod Trail and Deerfoot Trail, commuting to all quadrants of Calgary is easy. Calgary Transit also serves Woodbine with buses that connect to the south LRT line.
