On the other side of Sarcee Trail and up the hill with excellent views of the city are newer communities, such as Signal Hill and Coach Hill. The newer neighbourhoods near the edge of the city have homes with modern styles and a diversity of styles. These communities include Discovery Ridge, Aspen Woods and Cougar Ridge.
There are many large parks located in West Calgary, including the Glenmore Reservoir and Edworthy Park. Many pathways connect these parks and offer endless opportunities to bike, walk, run and explore.
