SE Calgary features
SE Calgary communities have a wide range of styles and ages of homes. The communities near downtown are some of the oldest. Ramsay is just across the Elbow River from the Stampede grounds and is a short walk from downtown. Nearby is also Inglewood, a charming community known for its assortment of boutique shops, restaurants and cafes.
Many neighbourhoods are located along the Bow River and have amazing sights of the river valley. These communities include Southview, Dover, Riverbend and Douglasdale/Glen. The Bow River pathway network runs nearby all these communities and travels through downtown to the western limits of the city.
SE Calgary real estate includes many popular lake communities. Most of these communities include private lake access for residents, in addition to elegant estates right along the lakes. Some SE lake communities are Lake Bonavista, Sundance, Chaparral, McKenzie Lake and Mahogany.
As the Bow River travels south through SE Calgary, it passes through Fish Creek Provincial Park. The large urban park spans both the SW and SE quadrants, and it features picnic spots, swimming and endless pathways. Communities that line the park have outstanding views of trees and green fields. These communities include Deer Run, Parkland, Midnapore and Cranston.
On the far south side of the quadrant are modern communities that are designed to live, work and play in. Seton, Auburn Bay, Walden and Legacy all feature a mixture of urban amenities and suburban benefits.
